A Grade

There were some big percentage boosting wins for a few A Grade clubs in round four with Scarborough defeating Kalamunda by 100 points, Trinity Aquinas defeated A Grade newcomers Wanneroo by 105 points and University defeated Wembley by 64 points.

In the other remaining matches North Beach defeated Curtin Uni Wesley 12.10 (82) to 6.5 (41). Curtin Uni Wesley took the lead early in the match to lead by two goals at quarter time. The margin was only 15 points in favour of North Beach at three quarter time, however a four-goal performance in the final quarter sealed the win for North Beach.

It was a close match at Morris Buzzacott Reserve with Fremantle CBC holding on to secure a two-point win over Kingsway. Jacob Green kicked four goals for Fremantle CBC as they remain undefeated in season 2018.

 

B Grade

There were some big wins in B Grade this weekend as well with Whitford defeating Hamersley Carine by 91 points and North Fremantle defeated Collegians by 102 points.

It was a closer contest between West Coast and Thornlie at City Beach Oval. Scores were level at the first break before West Coast kicked four goals to one in the second quarter and another four goals in the third quarter to leave the margin just fifteen points at the final break. West Coast held on to take a ten-point victory and move into fifth spot on the ladder. Matthew Taylor kicked five goals for the home side.

Kingsley defeated Maddington at Harmony Fields with Ben Caputi and James Del Borrello both kicking five goals for Kingsley.

Mt Lawley made it three wins in 2018 with a 36-point victory over Swan Athletic. David McKinlay kicked four goals for Mt Lawley to make it 16 goals so far this season.

 

C1 Grade

Willetton had a close finish against Ballajura on past players day with a three-point loss. Willetton now sit in seventh position with one win this season.

Gosnells and Bassendean remain undefeated this year with Gosnells defeating Quinn’s Districts by 35 points and Bassendean defeating Kenwick by 36 points.

Carlisle won their first match of the season with a convincing victory over Stirling. Carlisle had a dominant second half kicking twelve goals to seven. Damien Lloyd kicked five goals for Stirling in the loss.

Melville defeated Bullcreek Leeming by nine points. Melville move into fifth spot on the ladder with two wins and two losses so far.

 

C2 Grade

Nollamara and Warnbro Swans remain undefeated after four rounds with Nollamara defeating High Wycombe by 16 points and Warnbro Swans defeating Ocean Ridge by 42 points.

Swan Valley defeated SNESA convincingly by 56 points to leave SNESA without a win so far.

Canning South Perth also haven’t won a match this season yet with a loss to Dianella Morley by 29 points in round four.

The score was never more than six points at every break between Canning Vale and Lynwood Ferndale. In the end Canning Vale managed to claim their second win of the season by 12 points. Trent Coe kicked four goals for Canning Vale.

 

C3 Grade

Coolbinia and Brentwood Booragoon kicked well over 100 points in their wins over Ellenbrook and Piara Waters respectively. Coolbinia remains undefeated and with a handy percentage.

It was a closer match between Secret Harbour and Mosman Park with Secret Harbour winning by just three points.

Kwinana move into second spot on the ladder after they defeated Belmont Districts by 12 points at Medina Oval.

 

C4 Grade

Jandakot remain undefeated this season with a 30.14 (194) to 3.4 (22) win over Armadale. Owen Ham starred up forward kicking ten goals for Jandakot.

Osborne Park also remain undefeated as they defeated Wanneroo by 85 points.

Coolbellup moved into third spot on the ladder with a comfortable 69-point victory over Cockburn Cobras at Tempest Park.

A dominant second quarter saw Manning take control against Bayswater as they kicked seven goals to one. In the end Manning claimed the victory by 39 points to leave Bayswater in tenth position without a win yet this season. Nicholas Scholl-Geisler kicked five goals for Bayswater.

 

Other

Last year's Phil Scott Colts premiers University have started their season well with four wins from four games. Their round four match saw them defeat Wembley comfortably by 182 points to leave them with a percentage of 761.40 so far.

The women’s competition kicked off last week with Rossmoyne defeating Warnbro Swans comfortably by 62 points and Cockburn Lakes defeating Hills Rangers by 40 points in B Grade.

In the Integrated Competition Fremantle CBC Green and High Wycombe both remain undefeated with three wins each.
