Ben Voges set to play his 400th game for Warnbro Swans Wed, April 7, 2021 - 3:25 PM

After finishing a shorted 2020 season on 399 games, Saturday 10 April will see Warnbro Swans Football Club stalwart Ben Voges play his 400th game for the Club at the Warnbro Recreation Oval.

The 40-year-old has been part of Warnbro Football Club for 33 years, having first played for Warnbro in the under eights back in 1988.

Ben has been a big part of the Warnbro Swan Football Club: - games record holder, Club Captain from 2015 to 2017, dual premiership player, best and fairest winner, and committee member for several years including club secretary.

Ben said, “I have really enjoyed my football journey at the Swans. Over the last 30 years I have been privileged to watch as the Club grew into the great family and community Club it is today.  When I started, I never expected to play 400 games, although I have been lucky not to suffer any major injuries over the years. The backing from friends and family has been instrumental but most importantly from my wife, Tenille, who, without her amazing support I would not have been able to keep playing for this long.  I especially look forward to when my two boys, Charlie and Henry start playing football at Warnbro.”

Ben is the first player at the Warnbro Swans Football Club to reach the 400-game milestone and one of only a few across the Perth Football League to play 400 games at a single club.
