Whitford’s 23-year wait for a league premiership has ended.

The Warriors’ 33-point win over Brentwood Booragon at HIF Health Insurance Oval on Saturday was their first senior men’s premiership since 2003.

Unlike their earlier season loss to the Bulldogs, the Warriors controlled the game from the outset, leading at every change to win 10.11 (71) to 5.8 (38).

Former North Beach and West Perth half-back Rohan Scurria was named best on ground for Whitford, providing run and carry from defence throughout.

A long-range goal from Parker Doncon with the last kick of the quarter cut the margin to 28 at the last break and threatened to kickstart a Bulldogs comeback, but majors to Baylee Payne and Max Walters to start the last put the result beyond doubt for the Warriors.

Brentwood Booragon could not repeat their thrilling extra time victory over North Fremantle in last week’s preliminary final, in their fourth straight week of finals football.

The victory ended Whitford’s run of Grand Final defeats in 2007, 2016 and 2024.

Wanneroo overturned its second semi-final defeat to Wembley to win this year’s C1 decider at Bassendean Oval by 24 points.

A resurgent third quarter from the Roos, where they kicked five goals to one, set up the 7.13 (55) to 12.7 (79) win.

Wanneroo got an early jump on the Magpies, leading by 17 points at quarter time, but trailed by a goal at the half after their opposition responded from their slow start.

Roos wingman Cooper Schulz had a day to remember, kicking five goals for his side, while key forward Darcy Montgomery also booted three majors.

League-leading goalscorer Josh Richards was held goalless by Wanneroo defender Brock Lewis.

It was the first time this season Richards hadn’t kicked a goal, after slotting seven in his side’s second semi-final 39-point win. 

Josh Sukuroski was Wembley’s leading forward, kicking three majors.

The match was the final chapter in a rivalry that has defined the C1 season, with both teams entering the Grand Final as the competition’s two best sides, dominating with a combined record of 37-3.

An ice-cold goal after the final siren from Sav Marafioti secured a thrilling five-point win for Kingsley over Piara Waters at Revo Fitness Stadium.

The forward finished from 48 metres out, from directly in front, to secure the Cats’ first senior premiership since 2018, winning 9.9 (63) to 8.10 (58) in dramatic scenes.

Kingsley had trailed by as much as nine points in the goal-for-goal final term and were still down by a point with just seconds to go.

Conceding a 50 metre penalty with just 40 seconds remaining, it appeared Kingsley were destined to go down by the barest of margins.

But after forcing their opposition backwards deep into defence, the Cats turned the ball over, gifting an unmarked Marafioti a chance to write his name into local footy folklore.

Piara Waters hit the front at the 19th minute of the second term and wrestled the lead back again to lead in the last quarter after Kingsley got well-timed goals from Callum Douglas and Andre Amonini to put them ahead.

Tristan Edgill finished with two majors for the Falcons.

Kingsley’s Joey Moloney was named best on ground and capped off a perfect day for the club after they won earlier premierships in the Reserves and Laurie Keene Colts.

A dominant second half from Willetton delivered the Blues a premiership over East Fremantle at Gosnells Oval.

Blues centre half forward Blake Ingersole clunked a big grab at the top of the goal square and converted from close range with just minutes remaining, sealing his side’s 5.4 (34) to 9.8 (62) victory. 

After a closely fought first half, Willetton kicked six goals to one in the final two quarters.

Willetton goalsneak Jacob Gittos was named best on ground, also kicking a settling goal for his side in the final term.

Ryan Lester-Smith and Matt Jukes were also dominant in their team’s win.

It was the Blues’ first win over East Fremantle this season after three previous losses to the minor premiers.

Three majors conceded from 50 metre penalties proved costly for the Eagles in the 28-point defeat.

East Fremantle threatened to hit the scoreboard in the last quarter but could not follow up a classy goal from silky forward Graham Miller at the end of the third quarter.

A massive hanger from Ross Collier on centre wing looked like it could get momentum flowing the Eagles’ way in the final term, but goals to Gittos and Ingersole halted their momentum.

High Wycombe shook off a relentless Manning to win the C4 flag by 37 points at Burrendah Reserve.

The Bulldogs ended the 4th-placed Rippers’ Cinderella run in this season’s HIF Health Insurance Finals Series, beating them 12.7 (79) to 6.6 (42).

Four unanswered goals to start the final term sealed the game for High Wycombe after they led by just 11 at the final break.

Noah Criddle-White continued his elite season in front of goal, booting a game-high four majors in a best-on-ground winning performance, while fellow forward Gerrick Weedon chipped in with three.

Manning’s journey to win the premiership from an elimination final was on track at halftime, leading the Bulldogs by two points.

But the minor premiers flexed their muscles in the second half, running away to claim their first senior men’s premiership in five years.

Tyson Cuthbert kicked two goals for the Rippers.

Whitford handed minor premiers Rossmoyne their biggest defeat of 2026, winning the C5 title by 47 points at Wanneroo Showgrounds.

The Warriors proved their second semi-final win over the Rhinos was no fluke, winning 12.3 (75) to 4.4 (28).

Controlling the game from the first siren, the accurate Whitford opened up a 37-point lead at half-time, which they would not relinquish.  

Whitford captain Michael Waddington was named as best on ground, while teammate Harri Fox kicked four goals.

Rossmoyne had entered the finals undefeated, but were dealt a blow in their previous semi-final defeat to the Warriors when dominant forward Matt Koutsoukis went down with a fractured foot.

Forward Revis Alone attempted to shoulder the burden left by the absent forward, but he didn’t receive enough ball inside 50 to prove damaging against the structured Whitford defence.

North Beach upset minor premiers Wanneroo by 25 points under lights at HIF Health Insurance Oval to claim the E1 North flag.

After being well beaten in their second semi-final against the Roos, the Tigers turned the tables to win against the odds, 2.10 (22) to 6.11 (47).

In a game where both sides struggled to take their chances on goal, North Beach stayed composed, leading at every break.

North Beach’s Owen Collins was adjudged best afield.

Maddington avenged two successive grand final defeats to claim E1 South premiership honours over Brentwood Booragoon at Bassendean Oval. 

The Bulls won their first premiership since in a decade by 20 points, 7.7 (49) to 11.3 (69).

It was a decisive response from Maddington, who had to regroup after dropping their first game of the season in their second-semi final loss to the Bulldogs. 

Mark Thomas kicked two majors and was selected as best on ground, proving the edge over the experienced Brentwood Booragoon lineup.

Kalamunda held off Coolbinia by two points in an extra time thriller at Revo Fitness Stadium.

The Cougars took down the highly fancied minor premiers in a low-scoring tussle 5.4 (34) to 4.12 (36) to grasp the E2 premiership.

A major to Coolbinia’s Lachlan Hall with just a minute to go tied the scores, setting up the overtime showdown.

Poor kicking on goal threatened to derail Kalamunda’s flag aspirations, but it proved to be the difference between the two sides, as the Cougars won the ten minutes of extra time 8-6.

Coolbinia’s Mitch Brown was gallant in defeat for the Falcons, earning best-on-ground honours despite the loss.

Kalamunda forward Blair Southcott kicked half of his team’s goals, while Coolbinia spearhead Joseph Bin Omar started like a house on fire, kicking the game’s opening two goals inside the first three minutes.

Curtin Uni Wesley emphatically ended Manning’s nine game winning streak to wrap up the E2 premiership on Saturday morning at Burrendah Reserve.

The Tigers overturned a half time deficit to win by eighteen points, 6.9 (45) to 10.3 (63), surviving a final quarter scare from the Rippers.

Curtin Uni Wesley’s Max Boniwell was named as best on ground.

Oliver Annear, Brodie Dale and Quinn Johnston all kicked two goals each for the Tigers, Johnston booting the final two of the match to sew up his side’s win.

A goal from Manning captain Sheldon Hough to start the final quarter had pushed the margin back to under a goal.

Riley Scott-Waugh booted three goals in his side’s defeat.
