Armadale over Dianella Morley in a Thriller

DIANELLA Morley has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, losing to Armadale by a point 8.11 (59) to 8.10 (58) in C3 action at Light Street on Saturday.

Trailing by 5 points with seconds to go, a free kick led to a last ditch lead and mark by Armadale’s Dudley Michael, who converted his fifth major of the game right on full time.

The result soured what was otherwise a fantastic day for Dianella Morley, who were buoyed on by a cast of club legends and victories in the reserves and E3 grades.

The win keeps Armadale’s slim hopes of playing finals alive, but would need other results to fall their way to have any chance of figuring in September.

Dianella Morley continues to rebuild after losing 12 of last years best 22 and face sixth placed St Norbets at Wyong Reserve this Saturday.
