EGT D Colts

University became the inaugural EGT D Colts premiers with a commanding 41-point victory over North Beach at Richard Guelfi Reserve.

After taking a nine-point advantage into quarter time, University gradually built their lead through the opening half before breaking the game open with a dominant third quarter.

Leading 3.2 (20) to 1.3 (9) at the main break, University piled on five goals in the third term while holding North Beach to just one behind, taking a 41-point advantage into the final change.

North Beach fought the game out with two goals in the final quarter, although University had done the damage and ran out 9.11 (65) to 3.6 (24) winners.

Montague McMahon and Austin Trezise led University’s scoring with two goals each, while Benjamin Whiteman, Caden Hart, Charlie Stead, Emerson McNeilly and Marc Ricciardello also hit the scoreboard.

The victory capped an impressive season for University and completed a clean sweep against North Beach, having won all five meetings between the sides in 2026.

Budget Car and Truck Rental D Reserves

Fremantle CBC set up a 19-point Grand Final victory over University with a dominant opening half to claim the Budget Car and Truck Rental D Reserves premiership.

CBC came out firing, kicking four goals in the opening quarter while restricting University to a solitary behind to establish a 24-point advantage at the first change.

They continued to control the contest in the second term, adding another three goals to take a commanding 7.2 (44) to 1.3 (9) lead into half time.

University responded after the break, holding CBC to just 1.2 across the entire second half while gradually reducing the margin.

The comeback continued with University kicking the only two goals of the final quarter, although CBC’s outstanding opening half had given them enough breathing room to secure the premiership, 8.4 (52) to 4.9 (33).

The result reversed the trend from the home and away season, when University had won two of the three meetings between the sides, including a four-point victory in Round 18.

For Fremantle CBC, the win was the first half of a memorable double at Richard Guelfi Reserve, with the club going on to claim the D Men premiership later in the afternoon.

North Beach made the perfect start to the Grand Final, keeping CBC scoreless in the opening term while kicking 3.1 (19) themselves.

CBC responded in the second quarter, although North Beach still held an 11-point advantage at the main break, leading 5.2 (32) to 3.3 (21).

The momentum began to shift after half time. CBC held North Beach goalless in the third quarter and cut the margin to just six points heading into the final term.

From there, Fremantle CBC took control. Six final-quarter goals completed the turnaround as CBC stormed home to win 10.5 (65) to 6.5 (41).

The victory completed an impressive finals campaign for CBC after finishing third and defeating North Fremantle and University on their way to the decider.
