Gosnells Celebrate Milestone in Style

THE Gosnells Football Club celebrated the 200 game milestone of one of its 2008 Premiership players, Chad Brown last weekend with a win over C1 rivals Thornlie.

Brown began his career in 1999 with Gosnells in Sunday Football League and became a vital part of the side. In 2006 he won Gosnells Footballer of the Year and two years later, in 2008, was joint Best & Fairest winner as Gosnells took home the Sunday Football League Premiership in the leagues final year.

At the end of 2008 the Gosnells Football Club became a part of the WA Amateur Football League and Brown continued his playing career, earning life membership of the club with his 150th game.

The club celebrated the stalwarts 200 game milestone with a win at Gosnells Oval against fellow ex-Sunday Football League tenants Thornlie, taking their first four points of the year.

The Hawks will be looking to build momentum and keep their slim finals hopes alive when they travel to Kingsway this Saturday, the 28th May.
