Life Without Barriers extends partnership with Perth Football League Integrated Competition

The Perth Football League is pleased to announce the extension of its partnership with Life Without Barriers, as a valued partner of the PFL Integrated Competition since 2019.
The competition has grown to 14 teams across A and B Divisions and 481 players with disability, providing opportunities to represent their local clubs, compete alongside teammates and participate in Australia’s largest community football league
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to participation, inclusion and the friendships, confidence and sense of belonging that grow when players and their families are welcomed and valued within a local club.
Life Without Barriers Director, Disability & Mental Health WA, Lee-Anne Brenssell said the organisation was proud to continue supporting a competition that creates meaningful opportunities for inclusion and participation.
“Life Without Barriers is incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the Perth Football League and its Integrated Competition.
“Community sport has an incredible ability to bring people together, create friendships and build a sense of belonging. We love seeing players given the opportunity to participate, compete and be recognised as valued members of their football clubs and communities.”
WA All Abilities Football Association Executive Officer Hayden Marchetto said partnerships such as this play an important role in strengthening opportunities for people with disability through community football.
“Integrated football provides players with the opportunity to represent their local club, compete alongside their mates and experience the sense of belonging that makes community football so special.
“Having organisations like Life Without Barriers genuinely invest in the competition helps ensure all-abilities football continues to grow and, importantly, reinforces that these players and competitions are a valued part of the broader football community.”
PFL Chief Executive Officer Andrew Dawe thanked Life Without Barriers for its continued commitment to the competition.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Lee-Anne and the Life Without Barriers team for continuing their support of Integrated football.
“Our Integrated competition is home to a fantastic group of players, families, coaches and volunteers, and we want it to continue to grow as an important part of the Perth Football League.
“This partnership goes beyond putting a logo alongside the competition. Life Without Barriers genuinely understands what we are trying to achieve and their support helps us create an environment where more people can experience everything that is great about being part of a community football club.”
The 2026 PFL Integrated season will culminate with the A and B Division Grand Finals at Kingsway Reserve on Saturday, 29 August, commencing from 12 noon.
The PFL, Life Without Barriers and WA All Abilities Football Association wish all four competing teams, together with their coaches, volunteers, families and supporters, the very best for Grand Final day.
