Scarborough Breast Cancer Awareness Day a Success

THE Scarborough Amateur Football Club, club together with the support of the visiting Bull-Creek Leeming teams, dedicated the day to raising funds for Breast Cancer awareness last Saturday the 6th August.

The ladies committee, affectionately known as the ‘Scarbras’, decorated the social clubrooms in Purple and Pink and held ‘High Tea’ during the day. All players, supporters, family and friends from both clubs were generous in their support of the day, making donations and supporting the fund raising activities conducted.

The day was very successful and raised close to $2,000, with all funds being donated to Breast Cancer Care WA.

Stirling Shire Councillor Jason Robbins attended as a guest of the club and commented on the community spirit that was prevalent throughout the day, and commended the club for the work that went into raising funds for a very worthy cause.
