The Perth Football League leads the way with investment into AI Camera Technology

The Perth Football League (PFL) is proud to announce a groundbreaking investment in sports technology with the rollout of AI-powered Hudl cameras to every member club. This initiative underscores the PFL’s commitment to being the premier community football competition and a leader in adopting innovative solutions to benefit our players, clubs, and the wider football community.
Each club will receive a Hudl camera, enabling the filming of every PFL game across the 2025 and 2026 seasons. These state-of-the-art cameras, paired with Hudl’s user-friendly platform, will revolutionise the way clubs approach training, coaching, and team promotion. Coaches and players will have access to high-quality footage to analyse performances, refine strategies, and highlight their achievements.
Beyond the clubs, this technology provides significant advantages for the league. With comprehensive game footage available, the PFL can streamline its processes for reviewing on-field incidents, ensuring fairer outcomes for all parties involved. The availability of video evidence supports transparency and consistency in decision-making, further enhancing the integrity of the competition.

All PFL clubs will be offered comprehensive education and training that will give everyone the tools to be able to utilise the full capabilities of the cameras and footage. Any impacts or changes to by-laws will also be communicated with clubs in the coming months.
