Three All Australians for WA at AFL National Inclusion Carnival

Three players from Western Australia have been included in the 2019 Inclusion All Australian squad following the AFL National Inclusion Carnival held in Blacktown, New South Wales last week.

David Hallows and Lyndsy Ashworth (Coolbinia) and Tyson Worthington (Willetton) were chosen based on their demonstration of the AFL’s values, Play to Win, Play Fair, Play with Passion and Play as One Team.

This is the third time David Hallows has been rewarded with All Australian selection (2015, 2018, 2019) and was chosen as a forward this year while Lyndsy Ashworth was chosen in the midfield and makes his second All Australian Squad after making the side in 2015.

Tyson Worthington made his debut as a state player in 2019 and was selected in the All Australian squad as a midfielder.

For the first time the All Australian squad will travel to Brisbane to take part in an exhibition match at the 2019 INAS Global Games in October. Held every four years, the INAS Global Games is the largest sporting event for elite athletes with intellectual disability.

The All Australian squad is the culmination of the week-long AFL National Inclusion Carnival which saw Western Australia make the Division Two Grand Final. Unfortunately, the side couldn’t back up last year’s premiership going down to Queensland by 30 points on Friday.
