Who to Watch: Life Without Barriers Integrated A & B Division Grand Finals

The first deciders of the 2026 season have arrived.

Silverware is on the line in this Saturday’s Integrated A & B Division Grand Finals at Kingsway Reserve.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s two big clashes.

The last two premiership winners of the Life Without Barriers A Division are pitted against each other in this season’s top grade finale.

Undefeated minor premiers Kingsway will enter as the firm favourites to claim a second straight Peter Grosser Cup, but will face a Blues team also in scalding hot form. 

The Roos are currently on a 20-game win streak, which included last year’s flag win over Kelmscott.

Kingsway Coach Dave Wright, the recipient of this year’s AFL Disability Inclusion Ambassador of the Year Award, said his team’s success over the past seasons came by focusing on playing rather than winning or losing.

“Back three or four years ago, when we only had 20 players, we identified we had become very scoreboard-oriented, so we have really tried to work on believing in a process, creating structure and a family feel around our all-abilities team,” he said.

“We needed to get people to play footy for the right reasons, so we make sure everyone gets a go.”

“Hand on heart, I can say I don’t know what the score is at the end of the game now, but it would mean a lot to our footy club for us to go back-to-back in our 100th year,” the 11th-year coach said.

Another team with deep finals experience, 2024 premiers Willetton were preliminary finalists last year and have managed to hit a rich vein of form at the right time in 2026.

Since going down to Kingsway in round 10, the Blues have won their last six games, including three sudden-death finals to qualify for this year’s decider.

With a squad of only 18 players to choose from and star state midfielder Tyson Worthington missing this year due to injury, Willetton premiership coach Kevin Phillips said he had finally managed to inspire confidence in his side over the past two months after a slow start to the season.

“Most of my squad has stayed with me for the last seven years I have been coach; we have a good mix of talent,” he said. 

Willetton will be hoping to repeat the feat as the last team to beat Kingsway all the way back in 2025, by a solitary point.

“I think we will give (Kingsway) a good run for their money. They’re a great team, but I am confident; I don’t like losing,” Phillips said.

A massive milestone is set to be hit on Saturday for a Kingsway player who has been involved in the club’s all-abilities program since its inception.

Raepheal Savage will play his 150th game and become the club’s first-ever Integrated player to reach life membership when he runs out onto Kingsway Reserve this weekend.

Fresh faces at the club, Marcus Meyer and Vinnie Fraser, have been key inclusions for the 2026 Roos side. 

Skilled on both sides of his body, 19-year-old Meyer has further strengthened the reigning premiers since joining the club this season, while Fraser has also punched above his weight as another worthy addition.

For Willetton, dual-premiership player Zach Aquina has stood tall this season in the ruck and will be vital in his side’s premiership quest.

Kevin-James Phillips, son of the coach of the same name, has controlled the width for the Blues, feeding key forward duo Daniel Donegan and Brendan Tan, who have put big scores on their opponents in the Blues’ past three finals.

All three will need to fire if Willetton are to spring an upset on Saturday.

Fittingly, B Division’s two best teams all season will meet in this year’s ultimate fixture.

Swan Districts were the first to qualify for the grand final, knocking off High Wycombe by 21 points to set up their first big dance since joining the PFL in 2022.

First-year Swans coach Mark Lowery said taking the helm of the club’s all-abilities team had been one of his most rewarding experiences.

“Being able to see guys start with no experience in football develop over the year, and the way our more skilled players make sure everyone gets involved is so great to see,” he said.

High Wycombe will return to Kingsway Reserve on Saturday, the site where the club won its first integrated flag four years ago.

The Bulldogs provided Swan Districts’ most recent defeat, beating the minor premiers 3.2 (20) to 5.10 (40) in May.

Neck and neck all season with only percentage separating the two sides on the ladder, second-year High Wycombe coach Glen Lammonby said finding consistency would be key to his side’s chances of securing premiership success on Saturday.

“When we have played (Swans) the last two times, it has been one quarter that has let us down, so if we can bring our best footy and match their run the whole way, we will go well,” he said.

Swans coach Lowery said he could pick dozens of players in his side to platform, but described zippy midfielder William Brenssell as one standout.

“He is so quick on the wing, almost like a bolt of lightning,” he said.

Alex “The Wizard” Moshovis has had a magic touch this year for the Black-and-Whites, booting 15 goals from seven games.

Captain Anthony Kalimeris kicked three majors against the Bulldogs in the second semi-final and is one of the best kicks Lowery has seen. 

Having been a part of the club’s integrated program for a decade since arriving back down at High Wycombe after competing in five grand finals as a player, Lammonby said he knew his squad well. 

“Our onballers are our strength. We try and get our best players around the ball, but we also really rely on our key backs,” he said.

Malik Abraham and Harrison Jarvis-Gould have led the Bulldogs midfield brigade, while Graeme Govan and Blake Meyn have provided strong targets up forward, combining for 45 majors this season.
